Counselling & Psychotherapy

Counselling is a process that allows people to discuss their problems and any difficult feelings they encounter, in a safe, confidential environment. The term can mean different things to different people, but in general it is a process people seek when they want to change something in their lives or simply explore their thoughts and feelings in more depth.
Increased stress, competition, fear, professional pressure, managing relationships are common problems that can begin to be understood in the context of psychotherapy/counselling. Some people seek a counsellor when they find that they have come to a point in life where exploring their personal dilemmas alone or with family or friends has not proven to resolve these problems.

Group Therapy

Group Therapy is a platform for people with similar issues to share, discuss and learn from each other under the supervision of a facilitator. Group Therapy has various benefits as it offers support and provides opportunity to meet others who are experiencing the same problem. The facilitator would help you to open up in a group and work on understanding yourself better.

Workshops & Seminars

With an objective to break streotypes and stigma against mental health, and work proactively towards creating awareness, Over a Cup of Tea holds workshops and seminars at various public forums such as schools, colleges, institutes, corporate houses. The seminars not just create awareness but also psycho-educate the audience with respect to mind and it's wellness.

Psychometric Test and Assessment

Given the complex nature of the psychological functioning of individuals, the counsellor may use tests and measures that help in assessing the problems of the clients when required. While assessment of clients is not an integral part of the role of a counsellor, counsellors take help of psychological assessments at times to make informed decisions. Individuals who wish to know more about themselves, their personality type, IQ etc. may also avail this service.
